Councilman City of Eagle Cleaning, Isidro Carrasco, announced this morning the data for the kilos of waste collected during Carnival, specifically between Friday, February 28, and Sunday, March 9.
Carrasco said that this year have retired 513 670 kilos of garbage, which is an increase of 19,225 kilos parties regarding 2013.
The days where more waste is generated, Saturdays were 1 and 8 March, with more than 70 tons the first and the second about 62.
According to the formula for calculating seasonal population, baremada by 1.25 kilos per person per day, the number of citizens who have visited the town during the middle of the Carnival dates, would have increased by more than 15,000 attendees over last year.
Applying this same procedure, the total number of people along these Carnivals have passed through the city in excess of 400,000.
Finally, the council wanted to congratulate the employees of the concessionaire of this service (Acciona-Yahtzee), for the work done during these days, based on street cleaning, solid waste collection, cleaning beaches and party places, and other routine services.
