The Councillor for Culture and Heritage of the City of Eagle, Francisco Miguel Martínez, along with the mayor of Women, Maria Martinez and Sponsorship pedáneo Calabardina Bonaque Nicholas, opened last weekend sculpture exhibition "There are no titles for charm "of Juan Martínez Lax, which will be open until November at the Hotel Mayari and whose owners were also present at the ceremony.
Martinez Lax is academician of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts "Saint Mary of the Arrixaca" and taught ceramic art at the School of Art Murcia, until his retirement.
Currently, develops artistic innovation projects, alternating his work as a sculptor with performances, collaborating with authors from different disciplines and also deploying an information task through its exhibition space "Progress 80" in the capital of the region.
He has exhibited his work at national and international fairs and in galleries Art Chicago, Dubai, Madrid or Barcelona, ​​among others, stressing that "beauty is always beautiful, no matter how many times you contemplate the shape remains together because of the thought that our soul visualized as ideal creation. To create, you must possess the ability to retain the image in memory, thinking and contemplating forming reality, art is intention, frozen material energy. "
Alongside this exhibition, also inaugurated a sample of "Old maps of the Spanish presence in Africa", belonging to the cultural background of the hotel itself, which can be viewed as Spain controlled certain territories in which today still maintain our language and in others still fighting for their independence.
It will be open until June 29, from 11 am to 19:30 pm on weekends and holidays.
