YHA Calarreona hosted last weekend a conference on Gender Awareness and Empowerment, organized by the Department of Women's Hall of Eagles.
The event, which took place during the Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, was opened by the Associate mayor of this area, Maria Patrocinio Martinez, who gave way to a series of lectures, discussion by the Technical Center Municipal Women.
The first part focused on Gender Consciousness, and into the concept of the woman as an individual and social.
Later in the morning on Sunday, conferences and debates were based on Empowerment, showing that it is a process by which people gain control over their decisions and actions.
At the end, María Martínez Sponsorship appreciated these days, stressing that they not only expand knowledge, but serve as a gathering where experiences are exchanged and the important role that women have in our society makes clear.
