The Department of Health and aquiline Consistory of Eagles Diabetes Association (ADIA) began yesterday afternoon in the XIII Diet Cookery Course, which will be held until next Thursday, May 8, at the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel .
The opening ceremony was conducted by the mayor of Health, Ana María Miñarro, and the president of ADIA, Yolanda Gallego, who were responsible for implementing these gastronomic days in which twenty members of this group are involved.
Every day, attendees will learn to prepare two dishes and dessert, made by the chef of that establishment, then tasted the partners themselves.
Among the recipes for this edition, culinary highlights such as eggplant with vinaigrette, vegetable ragout with saffron tacos, trout fillets with potato salad, roasted chicken thighs with mixed salad, pineapple cake with bananas and almonds or yogurt apple and curd, among others.
Also, as is customary during the course, basic information will also be offered to participants about: nutrients, diets, special foods for diabetics or how to deal with the disease, among other points of interest.
