The Councillor for Culture and Heritage of the City of Eagle, Francisco Miguel Martínez, accompanied by various members of the municipal corporation, opened last night a retrospective exhibition of the artist Salvador María del Pilar Jiménez, which means hundred works are exhibited between 2004 and 2014. Titled "From color to the organic texture. Career and Transition" will be open until June 29, 18 to 21 am in the Exhibition Hall "Manuel Coronado" of the House of Culture "Francisco Rabal."
The author presents a sample composed of three blocks, clearly differentiated.
The first, for color and fantasy, highlighting Eagles and landscapes, where there is light, sea and blue as the dominant color.
Second, find a section based on the drawing (graphite, pastel, etching ...), with a more linear and refined technique, which highlight the carnival-inspired posters, pilgrimage and breastfeeding.
Finally, focusing on organic matter and texture, where the works acquire their greater volume, both in size and in relief.
Salvador Jiménez was born in France in 1965 and eighteen years living in Águilas.
She graduated in Fine Arts and Early Childhood Technical Specialist.
She has won several awards and has exhibited his creations several times with great success, both individually and collectively.
His role as an instructor of drawing and painting, played for years in the town, makes it a very popular person in the town, as for their classes have been students of all ages and from different schools, getting to create his own workshop "Pint-Art".
