Last night kicked off the XXVI Socio-Cultural Week of the Third Age, with a ceremony presided by the deputy mayor of the City of Eagle, Diego Martinez, accompanied by the mayor of this area, Ana María Miñarro, and the president of the Municipal Center "Sicily Antonio Segura," Juana González.
Before the official opening of this conference, the authorities visited an exhibition of crafts in which the work done by thirty members of the Senior Center, where using different techniques have been used to develop elements as shown: texas , sewing, paintings or other decorative products made of glass.
After welcoming remarks from the council and the president, to a packed House of Culture "Francisco Rabal", the evening continued with acclaimed performance by singer and cabaret star Ana Torres, who made the finale to this first meeting of full schedule of events.
The varied program of activities will run until Friday, June 20, bringing together talks, music and impersonation shows, plays and sporting events, among other interesting proposals.
