Eagle City Council this morning hosted a meeting of the Local Coordination Committee Against Gender Violence, composed of members of different organizations and municipal and regional institutions: City Hall, Police, Local Police, Comprehensive Care Center for Women's Services Social, Educational Centers Elementary and Secondary SEF, Mental Health Centers and Primary Care and general direction of Gender Violence Prevention, Youth, Legal Protection and Juvenile Court.
According woman said Councilwoman Maria Martinez Sponsoring this event is framed in a roadmap aims to promote and implement actions to the provision of services specifically targeting women, in order to promote the principle of equality and carry out activities and programs for the prevention and eradication of violence against women and improve care for victims.
Martinez keen to stress that one of the main objectives of the Working Committee is to promote the coordination of activities, actors and resources, influence the early detection of cases of abuse, provide care and agile response to victims of domestic violence and improve protection as well as inform and educate professionals and the general public on this issue.
