"Non-normative sexuality. Around New Visions sexualities of people with disabilities (disability)" is the title of the course of the International University of Mar-Campus Mare Nostrum to be held at the Eagles lodge Calarreona days 3, 4 and 5 July.
To the directors of course, Nuria Illan Romeu and Soledad Arnau Ripoll, "The time to demystify, once and for all, the issue of sexuality of people with disabilities has come", and see them as "people who feel, love, desire, like the rest of his fellows. "
According to both directors, in the past people with functional diversity "belonged, and still belong partly" a minority that has been denied the possibility to fully develop as people, "denying them the full exercise of their sexuality as a of the most important of his life development "dimensions.
On this basis, the course deals with the sexuality of people with disabilities from the perspective of human rights and equal opportunities, and try to generate discussion about beauty stereotypes and various corporalities and give prominence to people with disabilities on the topic of sexuality.
The activity has a duration of 25 hours, and those who enroll in it shall be entitled to 2.5 free elective credit or CRAU ECTS-credits.
