This morning took place the hoisting of the Blue Flag, with which the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC) in Spain has distinguished several beaches of the municipality, in addition to two marinas and the new Interpretation Centre Mar Eagles-Aquarium.
The ceremony was conducted by the local chief executive, Bartolomé Hernández, and Minister for Industry, Tourism, Enterprise and Innovation, Juan Carlos Ruiz, who were accompanied by the deputy mayor of Beaches, Isidro Carrasco, along with other councilors and technicians aquiline, among other guests.
Of the eight awards granted to the city, three more than last year, five correspond to beaches, namely those of: Calarreona, Las Delicias and La Colonia, which keep this award, which in this 2014 have been incorporated in Levante and Poniente.
During the ceremony of hoisting the Eagles Mayor stressed the importance of obtaining such certifications of environmental quality, since, according to Bartolome Hernandez, are a symbol recognized and valued by millions of users worldwide.
Therefore, continued the mayor, the municipal government will continue working to achieve new distinctive both Blue Flag and other similar surveys, referring to the Q of Quality you also have several beaches in the area.
For his part, Juan Carlos Ruiz stressed the commitment of the City of Eagle to increase the number of flags, which shows that the local executive is aware that these awards bring added value to the local tourism, said the director.
