From the United Left-Green Eagles we welcome the adoption of two joint motions proposed by the three municipal groups in the last regular meeting of the full City June.
In the first of these motions we requested that the City of Eagle urge the Regional Government, in turn, urge the Government of Argentina to adopt and operate a National Decree of drought and high temperatures, which allows to apply in areas of rainfed and irrigation, as well as a reduction in the modules for tax purposes for the year 2014. since IU-Greens we decided to support this motion because we sympathize with and Murcia farmers who are suffering the year less rain of the last seventy years.
The other motion was fueled by our Councillor Maria Isabel Torrente Zorrilla, who managed that she would join the other groups.
This proposal asked for the opening of school canteens rentals to cater to those children from families with financial problems so they can be guaranteed a healthy daily meal.
Hopefully really aquiline PP government action to alleviate the most of this problem created by a national crisis with much of the blame.
Instead, the motion presented alone, requesting the City of Eagle to urge the Government of Argentina to convene a referendum by which Spanish citizens can decide on what model of state wants to Spain, was rejected by the votes against councilors PP, PSOE and Masdar, and the only vote in favor of our Councillor.
From IU-Green Eagles denounce the intention of the parties that hold the monarchy to limit the ability of citizens on decision momentous issues for the country, denying the call for a referendum.
It seems incredible that in a time when citizens demand more democracy and transparency the answer to be given by institutions is just the opposite.
Also, we regret that the Socialist councilors have not had enough tenacity to defending the ideals for which many party colleagues used their efforts in earlier times, struggling as our councilor said, "A Republic, which leaves being the most democratic form of government. "
Furthermore, we continued our work to bring the voice of and aquiline to town meetings, ask the local government to proceed, in the shortest time possible, to remedy the poor condition in which I found the strong street Mount Calvary, and to extend the deadline for payment of Property Tax (IBI), since the dates specified by the City to pay it were wrong.
We also request the government team to expand the number of scholarships from 14 to 20 partnership to provide better service to our town, but their response was negative.
