Destina 60,000 euros for the installation of public street parking Juan Pablo II
The Ministry of Commerce, through the Directorate General of Domestic Trade, has allocated a total of 60,000 euros to the municipality of Águilas (Murcia) for the development of a parking lot in the main shopping area of ​​the town.
This funding comes from the program "Unique projects', developed in collaboration with the Higher Council of Chambers of Commerce, and revitalize and modernize oriented shopping areas included in the scope of large tourist areas with free trade zones.
Work funded Eagles consist of the adequacy of a plot for a public parking facility with 373 seats and a total cost of 493,000 euros, contributing to traffic decongestion at Juan Pablo II, and to seek further accessibility to trade in the area.
A total of 434 stores will benefit within the large tourist area in the town.
The program has received for annuities 2013 and 2014 with an overall budget of two million euros from funds of the Ministry of Commerce and the Superior Council of Chambers of Commerce within the ERDF Operational Programmes of the regions of Andalusia , Castilla y León, Castilla la Mancha, Valencia, Extremadura, Galicia, Asturias and Murcia.
Its scope will directly benefit 1,268 commercial and 22,519 indirectly to commercial establishments located in areas of high tourist season in which they have developed so local projects, as well as other service activities, leisure, culture, hospitality , catering and tourism in these environments.
These projects promote increased competitiveness of retail through actions such as the comprehensive rehabilitation of municipal markets, transforming them into new business models, the momentum of urban commercial areas by improving accessibility, interconnection, expanding areas transit and sidewalks, the provision of parking spaces, lighting, landscaping and street furniture, promoting the incorporation of new technologies applied to trading systems, selective waste collection, HVAC systems and energy efficiency, among other measures.
The aid recipients are municipalities, trade associations or public private consortium consisting of both types of agencies in the implementation and management of projects.
This plan is included in the Comprehensive Plan to Support Competitiveness of Retail Trade Spain Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, contributes to a positive impact on the cultural fields, services, leisure and tourism in the area, enhancing the synergies between all.
