Last weekend several Scout Group Scouters Severo Montalvo Eagles made the climb to the highest mountain in the Iberian Peninsula, the Mulhacen (3468 m), in the centenary year of Scouting aquiline.
The group of educators Scouts came to our town to address Granada, arriving at dusk to destination and overnight in the Hoya del Portillo.
On Saturday at dawn began the path to the summit, which arrived that afternoon after deciding which team would be able to reach the top in one day route.
After the summit, descended to the Caldera hut, where they could relax, swim in the Laguna de la Caldera, and spend the night with other climbers, exchanging anecdotes and knowledge, including fellow Scouts were Seville.
The early Sunday resumed the route, who successfully completed at noon.
