The Minister of Education, Culture and Universities, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández, today attended the guided tour in English which made the Interpretation Center, Aquarium of the town and other areas of reference Township students 4th year of Compulsory Secondary Education.
This tour is part of coordinated actions within the English summer camp organized by Education as a pilot program this summer.
This activity is included in the '+ Languages' initiative allows students to follow a language immersion program in which they will develop oral skills in English as well as promote coexistence of students and communicative development.
The camp has native instructors and students carry out activities including a language course included 40 hours.
Are also planned extracurricular activities that include visits to places of interest, as now been made in Águilas.
Participants are provided with accommodation in full board.
The objective is the development of communication in English, since, according to the director, this "is a way for students to continue deepening and enhancing their knowledge of English with activities outside the classroom in a playful learning environment ideal in summer" .
In granting the squares, the Ministry has dominated the best records and favored students from families with lower incomes.
To apply for a place requirement was to have received from the previous year an average score of 8 to the same note in the subject of English.
Sanchez said that "in this experience, we will continue promoting, participating 35 students, and is a form of recognition for their hard work."
For students with fewer resources, the Community has funded in its entirety this summer camp in English.
