Councilman Agriculture Hall of Eagles, Francisco Navarro, has reported that on Tuesday, July 22, at 20 am in the House of Culture "Francisco Rabal," will be held a technical seminar on the action programs for the control of vector-borne viruses.
It is aimed at farmers and technicians involved in the production of tomato, watermelon and cantaloupe, and the presentation is payable by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, and CEO of Agribusiness and Agricultural Training, Ángel García Lidón.
The event will include two conferences;
one on the contribution of the signature programs Koppert biological control of pests of tomato, melon and watermelon, by Antonio Giménez, technical director of that company;
and another in relation to the actions of the New Delhi virus in cucurbits and its involvement in viral diseases of tomato, delivered by Antonio Monserrat, technical manager of the Department of Biotechnology and Crop Protection Research Institute Murciano and Agricultural Development and Food ( IMIDA).
The event will end with a round table, entitled "The collaboration between sectors to act in solidarity in the management of viral diseases transmitted by insect vectors", presented and moderated by Francisco González, head of the Plant Protection Service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, in which representatives of different groups involved in the sector.
