Eagle City Council held last night traditional Gala Golden Age, organized by the Department of Aging, which paid tribute to the elders of the town and especially the members of the municipal center "Antonio Sicilia Segura" whose president, Juana Gonzalez, attended the ceremony along with several members of the board.
The event, free of charge, was held in the Plaza de Antonio Farms and featured audience, which featured representatives of local and regional government were headed by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández, and by the Minister of Health and Social Policy, Catherine Lawrence, accompanied by the mayor holder of this area in the Consistory aquiline, Ana María Miñarro, and by different councilors of the municipal corporation, as well as the CEO of Older IMAS, Enrique Pérez, and Managing Director of the agency, Leopoldo Navarro.
The evening, which began with a number of Seville by the corps de ballet of the Third Age, included a series of awards to several members of the Civic Center, for their contribution to the development of the activities organized by this group, which were delivered by the above authorities.
The winners were: Francisca Montalban, Joan Asensio, Trinidad Cano, Ramon and Maria Alba Higueras.
Similarly, there were awards for the Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users "Lady of Sorrows" and the president of that center, Martin Cegarra, for their continued support to this entity.
After the ceremonial speeches of the president, mayor and councilor, the gala to celebrate Grandparents Day continued with various performances and a spectacular finale, involving known couplet singers: Carmen Murcia, Marcos Galindo and Maribel Castillo and Dani Ballet Valera.
