Yesterday marked the start in a packed House of Culture Francisco Rabal Eagles, Lecture XIX "Watching the Sea", led by Professor José Asensio and framed in the summer courses at the Universidad Internacional del Mar. The opening ceremony was chaired by the Councillor for Culture and Heritage aquiline Consistory, Francisco Miguel Martínez, and the Vice Chancellor for Education and Innovation UMU, Pedro Miralles, also with the presence of different guests as Pedro Luis Moreno, of the Center for the Study of Educational Memory (CEME) at the University of Murcia, with several councilors of the municipal corporation and other personalities.
The first lecture was given by Professor of the University of Murcia, José Damián López, entitled "Aurelio Rodriguez Charenton (1895-1962): An aquiline and educational reform in Spain".
The event also included the presentation of a book and the opening of an exhibition on the figure of the teacher, who belonged to a generation of teachers who promoted reforms and pedagogical innovations carried out in the 20's and 30's in Spain.
The exhibition will be open until the 14th of August in Coronado Manuel Exhibition Hall of the House of Culture, Monday to Friday, 18 to 21 hours.
These appointments Lecture XIX "Watching the Sea", which will be held at 20 am on those premises, will be: Wednesday morning, "One hundred years of life hooked" by Ramón Jiménez Madrid, Professor of Language and Literature;
August 11, "Pollution and Sea: control strategies for the protection and conservation of the marine environment" given by Miguel Rodríguez Calf, Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Seville;
and on 13 August, "Food in the eighteenth century: a view through the issuance Malaespina" by María Jesús Periago Castón, Professor of Nutrition and Food Science, University of Murcia.
