The nineteenth Lecture "Watching the Sea", set in the summer courses offered in the township the Sea International University, was closed in the afternoon yesterday by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, and the director of Unimar María del Carmen Martínez Graciá.
This year, the House of Culture Francisco Rabal was the place chosen to develop an activity which, each August, has a large following, becoming one of the required events for lovers of culture and history the locality.
On the brink of its twentieth anniversary, he will do next summer, this popular lecture series can claim to have had great directors: Ramón Jiménez Madrid, Juan María Vázquez Rojas and Jose Asensio Mayor, aquiline linked to the University of Murcia, have managed to give the needed touch to the various editions of this event, with over a hundred papers over the years, always offered by highly regarded people in their different fields.
On this occasion, since it began on Aug. 4, the talks have been conducted: "Aurelio Rodriguez Charenton (1895-1962): An aquiline and educational reform in Spain" given by José Damián López, professor University of Murcia;
"One hundred years of life hooked" by Ramón Jiménez Madrid, Professor of Language and Literature;
"Pollution and sea control and strategies to protect and conserve the marine environment" offered by Calf Miguel Rodríguez, Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Seville;
and finally held yesterday on the "Food in the eighteenth century: a view through the issuance Malaespina" by María Jesús Periago Castón, Professor of Nutrition and Food Science, University of Murcia.
