Eagles has a new public parking area with capacity for over 350 vehicles, located in an area of ​​nearly 12,000 meters municipal plot, located on Calle Juan Pablo II, next to the bus station and railway station, just over five minute walk from the downtown area of ​​the city.
The new facilities were inaugurated this afternoon, officially, by the local chief executive, Bartolomé Hernández, and the Secretary of State for Trade, Jaime García-Legaz, accompanied by other local and regional authorities, among which was the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia, Pedro García-Balibrea.
These parks are part of a joint project with a budget of over € 500,000, in which a transparent vessel of more than 650 square meters, includes the Consistory aquiline intends to use to hold trade fairs of different types and attracting new visitors who come to enjoy the Eagles exhibition days, while also offering an appropriate space to local groups to develop these activities.
During the opening ceremony, the mayor of Eagle stressed the importance of this action, because the town lacked this kind of public parking, while impact on "construction was an election commitment that has been enhanced with the addition of a multipurpose ship, to which he is sure will bring a good return, "said Bartolome Hernandez.
For the construction of this parking, the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Science and Innovation, through the Directorate General of Domestic Trade, has allocated a total of 60,000 euros.
This funding comes from the Comprehensive Plan to Support Competitiveness of Retail Trade in Spain, through the program "Unique projects", developed in collaboration with the Higher Council of Chambers of Commerce, within the ERDF Operational Programmes, and is aimed at revitalizing and modernize the commercial areas of the perimeter of the large tourist areas.
