The councilman of Culture and Heritage of the City of Eagle, Francisco Miguel Martínez, accompanied by other guests, opened last night a painting exhibition of renowned artist Consuelo Mencheta, which will be open until 30 September in the Auditorium and Congress Infanta Doña Elena, from Tuesday to Sunday, 19 to 22 hours.
The author, a native of Valencia, this exhibition presents more than twenty paintings, mainly landscapes of extraordinary beauty, which represent a window into the light and color, a friendly and relaxing painting that invites us to think about what nice life, without losing sight of the figurative anchor.
Mencheta is PhD in Fine Arts and performs constant exhibitions, both individual and collective, highlighting that has taken place in: the UN headquarters in Vienna, the Museo de la Rioja in Logroño, the Palau de la Música in Valencia in the Museum of Salamanca, as well as in galleries in Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid, where he exhibited regularly.
Significantly its international projection, through successive interests in art fairs in Belgium, Holland, Italy, USA, Mexico, China and Korea, with exhibitions in galleries in Chicago, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Vienna and New York.
He has received, among other awards, the Honorable Mention I Summer Salon New York (USA) Scholarship landscape Valdeorras (Galicia) and Prime Circle Award Artistic Sant Lluc (Barcelona).
During the opening ceremony, was presented the book 'Consuelo Mencheta, garden colors flying' academic Antonio Martinez Cerezo, also present at the event, reflecting the career of painter and has been translated into English and Chinese .
