After the proclamation of Don Felipe VI as King of Spain, the City of Eagle requested photographic image of this new monarch to take the place of his predecessor, King Don Juan Carlos I, in the Plenary Hall and the Mayor aquiline Consistory, a fact that has finally been realized today.
Anecdotally, this morning, the mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández, personally commissioned to hang in the Mayor's official portrait of Her Majesty, aware that 'the inclusion of the image of a new monarch to head the office is not an event that happens every day. "
Also tonight, coinciding with the celebration of the plenary session of September, the image of Don Felipe VI occupy a special place in the Municipal Council Chamber, as is clearly stated in Article 85.2 of the RD 2568/1986 of 28 November, approving the Regulation on the Organization and Functioning Legal Framework of Local Authorities approved.
However, the City will continue to maintain, in one of its meeting rooms, a painting with the image of Don Juan Carlos I, as a token of recognition and appreciation of this administration who was head of state for 39 years.
