Eagles Mayor Bartolome Hernandez, this morning visited the residence of railway pensioners, one of only two centers that this group has in our country, next to San Juan (Alicante).
The local chief executive was accompanied by Council of Citizen Services and Mobility, Clara Valverde and Francisco Clemente, who were greeted on arrival by the director of this center, Mari Paz Ruiz, and President of the Association for Residences Railway Pensioners, Juan Sanchez, as well as other members of the board.
The visit coincides with the feast of St. Michael, the patron of this residence, so throughout the day a wide program of activities is in their facilities.
Officials attended a concelebrated and toured some of the premises of this building mass, in which about 160 people currently live, while able to enjoy watching the crafts made by residents, thanks to an exhibition organized on the occasion of the commemoration .
The residence is now home to all audiences, rail or not, according to availability, with the only requirement to become a member of the Centre.
