The Eagles Diabetic Association (ADIA), in collaboration with the Consistory aquiline, yesterday put in place a comprehensive health program, aimed at improving the physical, mental and social aspects of people with diabetes.
Councillors of Health and Education of the City of Águilas, Ana Maria and Francisco Clemente Miñarro respectively, accompanied by the president of ADIA, Yolanda Gallego, attended the opening of a physical education class that will run until May 31.
Three days a week, over twenty people develop exercise tables, which combine with hiking trails, where it affects: cardio-respiratory endurance and muscular strength and flexibility or reduction of fat percentage, among others.
In parallel, participants who wish will become part of a personalized nutritional program, designed to be weight loss and improved glycosylated hemoglobin, while monthly lectures and workshops will be organized targeting users learn to autocuidarse.
