This morning tore in Hall Agustín Muñoz 'Eagles of sports, gerontogimnasia course organized by the Consistory aquiline, which involved nearly two hundred members of the Municipal Center on Aging.
The mayor of Health and Ageing, Ana María Miñarro attended the start of these classes in the company of the president of the senior center, Juana Gonzalez, and the instructor of the course, Angela Cegarra, who regaled the audience with a T-shirt which you could see the slogan 'Move is caring'.
During his visit, the council stressed the benefits of practicing this type of physical exercise among older people, provided it is done safely, professionally supervised and adapted to the physical conditions of each.
Ana Maria Miñarro also stressed the importance of having a sedentary attitude, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and doing activities that contribute to active aging person.
Gerontogimnasia sessions are divided into warm, by stretching and joint mobility;
center, with activities for the full development of the body;
and a final section, based on the natural breath.
Participants are divided into two groups, establishing a schedule of 45 minutes for each class.
These take place twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and will continue until June.
