Coinciding with the centenary of the presence of the scouts movement Eagles, last March, the mayor of Youth and New Technologies of consistory aquiline, Juan José Asensio led the municipal council a proposal to grant a city street name of 'Eagles Explorers', a proposition which was approved unanimously by all political groups.
Giving response to this whole agreement, in the morning on Sunday evening, the mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández, accompanied by that council and the president of the Scouts Federation Explorers Murcia, José Antonio Nieto, uncovered plate that names this artery in the urbanization El Stove.
The event was wrapped up with the presence of different local authorities as well as by numerous scouts belonging to local groups 'Severo Montalvo' and 'Cultural Center Renfe', led by their respective presidents, Maria Vela and Ramon Zaragoza, who spoke to thank the initiative and read a congratulatory letter from President of the World Scout Committee, the Portuguese Joao Armando Gonçalves.
This event, in addition to other actions that have taken place in Águilas along this year.
Since the hoisting of the flag scouts in the Plaza del Doctor Fortun (The Placetón) along the monolith dedicated to this movement, to an exhibition of uniforms, books explanatory of Scouting, trophies and a large photo archive in which even components appeared the first troops of Eagles, among other activities organized to celebrate the hundred year history.
