Spanish Red Cross has organized workshops and talks with volunteers from across the community with the aim of informing the Protocols of the Organization in the fight against Ebola.
Once from the Central Office in Madrid have held meetings with officials of the Immediate Response Teams Emergency ERIE throughout the national territory, they, in turn, meet with members of the local assemblies to convey the past agreements on how to react to a suspected case of the disease, and to identify other diseases of similar symptoms, malaria, dengue, yellow fever and agree common standards of performance.
Far from being a merely informative talk, Workshops saved for last part practical exercises on how to properly insert and remove an Individual Self-Protection Equipment (PPE) when resolving the doubts and concerns that may arise among the attendees.
Although Spanish Red Cross from the belief that the risk of infection is minimal remains, why not training their volunteers neglected, approaching the effective first responders all the information about Ebola.
During the morning, about 60 members of the NGO in Aguilas, Lorca and Mazarrón have participated in the workshop that has lasted about 3 hours, convinced that one of the best weapons in the fight against the spread of the epidemic is the information, accurate and fast.
