The ship 'Ramón Margalef' pertenecienteal Spanish Institute of Oceanography, is doing today in the municipality an open door for school, framed in the centenary of this institution.
Taking advantage of the boat at the Port of Eagles, the local chief executive, Bartolome Hernandez, and the Director General of Educational Institutions, María Dolores Valcárcel, toured this morning its dependencies, accompanied by Council of Culture and Education, Francisco Miguel Martinez and Francisco Clemente, as well as the larger pattern of the Fishermen's Association, Domingo Diaz.
Visits to this boat, previously agreed with the schools of the town, help students learn the important research work crew and promote the creation and promotion of scientific vocations among the young.
The events linked to these hundred years of oceanographic research continued during the month of December in Águilas, the opening of an exhibition and a conference on this issue as it is provided.
