Spain Square Eagles hosted this morning, an emotional ceremony to celebrate the International Day of Disabled Persons, whose ultimate goal was to raise awareness on the right to equal opportunities for people at risk of social exclusion.
The event, which was held under the slogan 'Together We Are Able', was organized by the City of Eagle, together with the MAPFRE Foundation, CERMI Murcia, AFEMAC, Fundown and FEAFES, among other groups.
Many local and regional authorities wanted clothing with their presence this activity.
Among those attending the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez was;
Managing Director of the Institute of Social Action Murciano, Leopoldo Navarro;
CEO of IMAS Seniors, John Brown;
Councillor for Health and Social Services aquiline Consistory, Ana María Miñarro;
President of CERMI, Pilar Morales;
the territorial responsible for MAPFRE, Antonio Exposito;
President of the Special Commission on Disability of the Regional Assembly, Violante Thomas;
and Commission spokesman said, Ana Guijarro;
with different members of the municipal corporation and representatives and users of various associations linked to this cause.
During the ceremony, Bartolome Hernandez emphasized the need to continue helping these groups and entities who work with them, in order to facilitate integration in society of people who have disabilities, while recalling that, through the Department of Health and Human Services, the City of Eagle offers resources and services that help ensure the necessary support.
This year, the UN has chosen to commemorate the day the slogan "Sustainable Development: The promise of technology ', indicating that a billion people worldwide living with a disability and 80% of them live in developing countries, remembering that access to technology is critical to help realize the full and equal participation of people with disabilities.
