The mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, and the CEO of Agro Industry and agricultural training, Ángel García Lidón, by the council of Agriculture of the Consistory aquiline, Francisco Navarro, inaugurated this morning in the town a technical conference entitled 'Agriculture Aguilas Future: Experimental Center La Pilica '.
About one hundred people attended the event, which took place in the center of Training and Local Development Eagles, where they were held various presentations and panel discussions that highlighted the importance of tests carried out on this farm experimental, an area of ​​5 hectares, managed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, in collaboration with different agricultural collectives.
Technical IMIDA, CEBAS-CSIC and Nurfruits offered lectures on 'appreciation of traditional varieties of tomato and development of other high quality functional', 'cultivation of pomegranate and new varieties' and 'problems apricot and other fruit', all related studies currently being conducted in the Pilica.
The day concluded with a visit to these facilities was guided by firm personnel Coáguilas, the company responsible for managing the experimental farm, where participants could observe ongoing trials in both cultures inside and outdoors.
