Last December 26 was approved at an extraordinary meeting of the Municipal Council Budget for 2015 with the only vote in favor of the council's Party and the unanimous rejection of the opposition.
From IU-Green wore weeks suing the mayor Bartolome Hernandez to present the Budget, as it had committed unlawful to do so within the period specified by law.
Budgets are provided the opposition three days before approval, making it virtually impossible to study and analyze the detail they require.
In the words of our Councillor, María Isabel Torrente, "is a lack of respect for the democratic system and opposition councilors who represent many aquiline and columbines".
The councilor complained to the Municipal Council "lack of transparency and intend to work as hard as possible opposition to study the documentation and to present alternatives."
IU-Green discusses the Budget approved as unfair and unbalanced, because they do not address the problems that are preventing the development of our town.
These budgets "do not correct the economic imbalances in employment and social in relation to the increase in inequality, poverty and social exclusion threatening".
Moreover, María Isabel Torrente complained that the city government proudly closing the year with a surplus.
"It's a shame to publish press releases touting year-end surplus when the queues of people in the INEM and door Caritas are bleeding".
Councillor United Left-Greens closed his speech by asking the government if "do you think people now what matters most is whether the people are prettier or uglier? What matters to them is to have a meal when noon arrives. "
