The House of Culture Francisco Rabal hosted this evening an information day on the new regulations on the labeling of food products.
It was promoted by the Consistory aquiline, the Association of Businessmen and Industrialists of Eagles (ACIA) and signature Campos Serrano biologists.
The mayor of Health, Ana Maria Miñarro, opened this activity aimed at establishments that produce and sell packaged foods, food retailing and catering industry, who were warned of the coming into force of the new regulation European food information to consumers.
This standard introduces significant changes in order to improve knowledge of food and ensure the health of consumers.
Mandatory nutrition explanation is established and detailed rules on clarity and legibility of labeling requirements including type size and location of the text rather than introduced.
Also, it is obligatory to indicate the country of origin of products regulated as compulsory information on allergens.
Those responsible for teaching this subject were Elena Moyano, PhD in Biology, and Juan Francisco Campos, Bachelor of Science and Food Technology, both belonging to the firm Campos Serrano biologists.
