The columbine hamlet of Tébar held yesterday the central events of the festival program in honor of San Anton Abad, patron saint of animals, although the first event began in the morning of Saturday, all with a large attendance.
The festive day Saturday began with the realization of a mountain bike path and other trails, the latter led by the municipal archaeologist, to publicize the archaeological sites and environment of the area.
At night, in the social hall of Tébar, there was a comedy show by comedian famed Chema Ruiz and a performance by singer Juan 'El Sevillano' and dancers.
On Sunday, the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, along with a large group of councilors of the municipal corporation, also accompanied by the headman of Tébar, Juan José Méndez, and the president of the neighborhood association, Blas Carrasco, attended the traditional Mass in which animals are blessed.
The event continued with the procession with the statue of St. Anthony Abbot.
As usual, the right to porting and carry the banner of the Holy auctioned.
After the fellowship meal, the party continued late into the evening with Dances and Songs of Easter Bids, which participated Gang Cuesta de Gos, ending with the traditional 'Mandas Easter'.
