The House of Culture Francisco Rabal hosted this evening, the awards ceremony of the VI Literary Contest, organized by the local board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), to commemorate the World Day of the disease.
The competition involved many students, sixth year of primary education, belonging to various schools in the municipality.
Among them, the jury awarded the work of one student from each school, who have given him a diploma.
The event was wrapped in the presence of councilors of Health and Education of the City of Eagle, Ana María Miñarro and Francisco Clemente, along with other local authorities.
They were accompanied also representatives of various commercial firms that have contributed to the event as well as several members of the AECC, headed by its president, Dolores Pérez.
The overall winner of this contest was the Gema Gallego girl, Colegio San Juan de las Águilas.
As for the finalists of each center, these were: Vicenta Fernández, Urci school;
Noelia Montalbán, the Mediterranean;
Celia Gimenez, of San Juan of the Eagles;
Peregrín Teresa, of Mary Immaculate;
Miriam Ortega, the Rubial;
Lidia Cuevas de las Lomas;
Monica Martinez of Carlos V;
Carlos Gimenez, the Virgen de los Dolores;
and Victoria Escobar of Joaquín Shopkeeper.
Similarly, special diplomas were given to several children, for their help they provide to the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
Their names are: Angela and Tomas Matallanos, Carla La Fuente, Rocío Martínez and Ana Caceres.
Commemorative events continue tomorrow Thursday, February 5, at 19:30 pm in the parish of San José, with a Mass in which will participate Gospel Choir Eagles.
Finally, on Friday, at 21 am in the restaurant Ramonetero Experience will be held a dinner to celebrate the feast of St. Agatha, where he appoint Clemen Millán, signature Agua de Sal, colaborada distinguished from the AECC.
