The school welcomes Las Lomas, these days, an exhibition dedicated to the development of esparto, a bound work the municipality since its foundation in the eighteenth century.
This office remained active until the mid-twentieth century, coming to represent a major source of income for the inhabitants of Eagles.
The Councillor for Education, Francisco Clemente, today visited the exhibition organized to honor Child Musson and student of this school, Julia Parra de Haro, since the clothing that uses the character is performed based on this steppe plant.
During the visit, Clemente was accompanied by the headmistress, Fina Ramirez, with whom he toured the premises where are conducted various activities related to the esparto.
The exhibition, open to the entire educational community until Friday morning, brings numerous objects and photographs that show the many applications that can be given to this material.
The day also includes lectures and demonstrations on making rope, which involved esparteros known aquiline and the student of esparto, Juan Hernandez.
