The local chief executive, Bartolome Hernandez, and the Councillor for Public Safety, Francisco Clemente, this morning held a meeting with several officers of the Local Police and Civil Guard, the latter belonging to the ARS GRS unit (Association of Reserve and Security) based in Valencia, from today until next February 22 will participate in the Emergency Specific Plan Carnival.
At the meeting, all details about the security of this Festival of International Tourist Interest finalized, since tonight begin lived at street level with the traditional 'Release of the Musson'.
Over the next few days, the city expects to receive the visit of about 400,000 people, who will attend Eagles to enjoy a unique spectacle.
These policemen, specialists in covering events where large groups of people stick together, join the rest of today composed about a thousand of troops belonging to different bodies device: Municipal Emergency Services, Civil Protection, Fire Services Sheets, Red Cross, 061, SUE and other public and private services.
Thus, Local Police and Civil Guard will be part of a prevention and safety plan, which will remain active in both the urban and rural areas.
This will take place during the celebration of the carnival events as well as in the hours before and after completion thereof.
