The Department of Youth and New Technologies of the City of Eagle reported today that the telecommunications operator 'Wimax On Line', in collaboration with the Consistory aquiline, has started a new service to provide free Internet access in different parts of the locality.
The deputy mayor of this area, Juan José Asensio, and the CEO of that company, Javier Martinez, have released the areas of town that offer wireless technology.
These are: Plaza de Spain (La Glorieta), Plaza del Doctor Fortun (The Placetón) and Plaza de Gutiérrez Mellado (urbanization Las Yuccas).
These places are marked with corresponding road signs that advertise free access to the network.
The connection can be made at a speed of 1 Mbps and the maximum time per user per day is three hours.
Finally, Juan José Asensio has stated that this service has been operating, on a trial basis during the Carnival festivities, with many people who have used it.
Similarly, stressed that 'once a full assessment of its implementation is made, possible changes that may be subjected will be studied as well as other sites eligible for placement, always looking to improve the services offered to the Eagles citizens'.
