Building on the eve of World Down Syndrome Day, the "Eagles Down 'Association today set up a booth at the Plaza of Spain, where he offered any information about this disability, while he demanded a change of consciousness that promotes the full inclusion of these people in school, work and society.
The president of this group, embodies Diaz, was the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, and the mayor of Health and Social Services, Ana María Miñarro, during his visit to the stand, where they attended together with other councilors of the municipal corporation to tuck the association.
Diaz wanted to take this opportunity to publicly recognize the government team its commitment to integration, especially the local chief executive and the Councillor for Health, who were presented with a commemorative plaque to thank for their continued support, a detail that was reciprocated by local authorities extolling the work that this group develops in the town.
Everyone present participated in a loose paper airplane in which one could read the slogan of the national campaign "Life is not about chromosomes" where Down Spain attempts to show that there are no differences between children with and without this disability intellectual, bringing everyone his way of being, thinking and feeling.
Eagles Down, established in 2011, focuses on training people with intellectual disabilities, from an early age to channel joining the school or workplace and integrating them into society.
To do this, perform all kinds of activities and advise their families in decision-making, and at present nearly twenty users.
