The mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez and Councilman of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Francisco Navarrro, met with the president of the Federation of Agricultural Region of Murcia (FECOAM) Cooperatives, Santiago Martinez, and other members of the board, in order to address the current industry and finalize preparations for the XXX Ordinary General Meeting to be held this year in the town.
This will take place on Friday, April 17, starting at 18 am in the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel, which is expected to come about three hundred people and different authorities, both at national, regional and local.
FECOAM was established in August 1985 and currently consists of seventy-seven agricultural marketing boards in the Region of Murcia, which in turn associated with twenty thousand farmers.
From the Consistory aquiline have expressed their gratitude to the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of the Region of Murcia, for choosing Eagles as a place for holding this annual meeting, since agriculture is one of the mainstays of the local economy.
