The Department of Health aquiline Consistory and the Diabetic Association of Eagles (ADIA) started yesterday afternoon XIV Diet Cooking Course, which will be held until next Thursday, April 9, at the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel .
The opening ceremony was conducted by the mayor of Health, Ana Maria Miñarro, and the vice president of ADIA, Amparo Diaz, who were responsible for implementing these gastronomic days in which twenty members of this group are involved.
Every day, attendees will learn to prepare two dishes and a dessert, made by the chef of that establishment, then tasted the partners themselves.
Among the recipes in this issue, culinary highlights as endive salad, potato cod and orange;
shrimp stuffed avocados;
warm creamed leeks and potatoes with mushrooms;
waking chickpeas;
eggplant in vinaigrette;
squid with cider;
lobster risotto;
foam handle;
kanuts hazelnut;
mouse or cream cheese with strawberry jam and grapes.
In addition, as is customary during the course, basic information will also provide participants about: nutrients, diets, special foods for diabetics or how to cope with the disease, among other aspects of interest.
