The mayor of Health aquiline Consistory, Ana María Miñarro, and the president of the Diabetic Association of Eagles (ADIA), Yolanda Gallego, closed yesterday afternoon XIV Diet Cooking Course that has developed in the Juan Hotel Puerto Montiel.
Together with the commercial director of hotel accommodation Olga Montiel, and the chef, Juan Pedro Espinosa, Gallego Miñarro and delivered the diploma to the twenty people who have participated in these culinary classes.
For four days, attendees have learned to prepare two dishes and a dessert that subsequently were able to taste.
Among the recipes in this edition are outstanding culinary delights such as endive salad, potato cod and orange;
shrimp stuffed avocados;
warm creamed leeks and potatoes with mushrooms;
waking chickpeas;
eggplant in vinaigrette;
squid with cider;
lobster risotto;
foam handle;
kanuts hazelnut;
mouse or cream cheese with strawberry jam and grapes.
In addition, as is customary during the course, it has also offered basic information to participants about: nutrients, diets, special foods for diabetics or how to cope with the disease, among other aspects of interest.
