The Minister of Industry, Tourism, Enterprise and Innovation, Juan Carlos Ruiz, said this morning that "the arrival of natural gas to the municipality of Eagles will have a very beneficial impact on people, businesses, development and competitiveness of key sectors budget of the municipality ".
This was stated during the ceremony organized by the company in its facilities Redexis Gas Eagles occasion of the launch of the service in the town, during which the company reported its investment plans.
"This clean, fuel efficient, which will benefit in a first phase to the northern part of town, arrive within four years the entire population of Eagles, representing more than 34,000 inhabitants and more than 14,000 homes," said Ruiz who was accompanied during his visit by the mayor, Bartolome Hernandez, CEO of Industry, Alfonso García, CEO Redexis Gas in the Mediterranean area, Julio César Campillo, and the CEO of the company in Murcia, Pedro Santos.
Similarly, the Minister reported that "to facilitate the arrival of natural gas to all citizens and businesses in the municipality, the company plans to invest 2.7 million euros".
Gas infrastructure Redexis Aguilas contemplated plant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), which is already in operation and a distribution network of 20.6 kilometers, of which have already been implemented over six kilometers.
Having completed the first phase in the north, the company has applied for a license to start the canalization in a second area, affecting streets as Ramon y Cajal, Fuensanta, Carlos Marin and King Carlos III, among others.
At a later stage, will access to more nearshore (streets Isaac Albéniz, Manuel de Falla, Iberia or Canalejas) neighborhoods.
Juan Carlos Ruiz also stressed that "the arrival of natural gas to municipalities as Eagles helps us to meet the goals of energy efficiency and emissions reduction set by the European Commission as it is a fuel with low environmental impact" .
Present in 23 municipalities in the region
Redexis Gas, following the acquisition of Gas Energy Distribution of Murcia, has started operating in 23 municipalities in the region through a network of transportation and distribution of natural gas 2,123 kilometers.
Thus, the company provides supply to more than 1,260,000 residents and businesses in the region.
Redexis Gas has announced plans to invest in the region more than 100 million euros, build more than 300 kilometers of new network and generate 300 jobs over the next five years.
The company operates in Spain with its own gas network of over 8,000 kilometers, divided by Aragon, Balearic Islands, Andalusia, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Valencia, Madrid and Murcia, reaching five million people, industries and businesses in a total of 215 municipalities.
