The Councillor for Education of the City of Eagle, Francisco Clemente, visited this morning the Mediterranean school, which has conducted a workshop arthropods and a display of different units of the Civil Guard.
Accompanied by the director of the Center, Antonio Licerán, Clemente attended these activities have been organized by the management team of CEIP Mediterranean, framed in the Year of Science and the Master Plan for Coexistence and Improving School Safety.
During the visit, the mayor praised the quality of the science fair, where you can watch live arthropods and a collection of species that can not be seen elsewhere in the world as well as the lecture by the renowned entomologist Antonio de White, with over twenty years experience in rainforests and regular contributor to various schools and institutions like the Science Park of Granada.
Similarly, Francisco Clemente stressed the importance for students to know and value the work done by the Security Forces of the State, such as the Civil Guard, bringing public safety services to the school community, In order to strengthen the knowledge and confidence of children and young people about them.
