Education Councilman Consistory aquiline, Francisco Clemente, and the president of the Diabetic Association of Eagles (ADIA), Yolanda Gallego, closed yesterday afternoon workshop for children dietetic cuisine that took place in the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel .
Twenty students, many diabetics and other children of people with the disease, participated in these fun culinary classes, so yesterday received their diplomas from the hands of the mayor of Education and President of ADIA, accompanied by the head of Kitchen said hotelier, Juan Pedro Espinosa.
The participants, aged between 3 and 14 years old, learned to prepare pizzas colors and unsweetened fruit gums while concocted a nutritional mural, based on a semaphore with foods that are optimal for lunch daily (green), which have to be more careful (orange) and you have to fend diets (red), depending on the content of carbohydrates.
Francisco Clemente encouraged partners to continue developing ADIA as interesting as this activity.
To do this, the mayor said, "will continue to have the full support of the Consistory aquiline, channeled through the Department of Health who runs Ana María Miñarro, always ready to work with this group," said Clemente.
