Last weekend, the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Murcia (FECOAM) held its XXX Ordinary General Assembly, in a massive event held at the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel Eagles, attended by over three hundred people and numerous authorities at national, regional and local levels.
During the ceremony, Santiago Martínez was reelected as president of this organization that was established in August 1985 and currently comprising seventy seven agricultural marketing boards in the Region of Murcia, which in turn associated with twenty thousand farmers .
Throughout the evening distinctions Agricultural Cooperative of the Year, which went to the farmer Andrés Carrasco, and Gold Badge 2015, it was for the exconsejero of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá were also awarded.
Among those attending the president of the Community, Alberto Garre and counselors Adela Martinez-Cache, Catalina Lorenzo and José Gabriel Ruiz, besides the CEO of Food Industry Ministry of Agriculture, Fernando Burgaz, and Councilman Agriculture was City of Eagle, Francisco Navarro, along with other authorities and representatives of different agricultural and business groups, among other guests.
From the Consistory aquiline have expressed their gratitude to the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of the Region of Murcia, for choosing Eagles as a place for holding this annual meeting, since agriculture is one of the mainstays of the local economy.
