The acting mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, along with other local authorities, attended yesterday afternoon the ceremony of unveiling of the plaque that names the street Juan Navarro Garcia plenary meeting and agreement reached on November 27, last year.
Municipal representatives were accompanied by the widow of the honoree, Aranda Angeles, and their six children, who clothed this beloved event with numerous relatives and friends.
Juan Navarro Garcia was born in Aguilas, in October 1915. Among other positions, from 1950 to 1960 was secretary of various consistories, passing from this date to play in property Square Chief of the Bureau of Personnel in the City of Eagle, being in a position to actively leave in the Body of Secretaries until his retirement in January 1985.
His literary vocation came to him from his youth, publishing some works in several newspapers and magazines of the time, though his most prolific period comes after their termination, devoting himself to write different books related to Eagles.
Navarro kept all carefully bound multivolume works, most of them unpublished, which make up a whole, a modest literary work, "Sketches and pieces", "Wings in the wind," "Hereafter," " eagles landscapes and customs "," The Mirror of illusion and life "," A faithful likeness of the palm ", first and second part and" Short Stories ".
