About forty people, belonging to the Municipal Center on Aging Eagles, have participated in a crafts workshop where different techniques have been used.
The mayor of Aging in office, Ana Maria Miñarro, closed last weekend this activity, accompanied by the president of this group of older, Juana Gonzalez.
During the event, both emphasized the quality of the works produced by the members of the course, who personally congratulated them moved.
Together with the teacher of the course, Ana Hernandez, they explained that classes have been developed over a period of approximately three months, twice a week, into the manufacture of items such as tiles, sewing, paintings or other decorative products made in fabric and wood.
Miñarro used the closing ceremony to bid farewell to the board of the Municipal Center on Aging "Sicilia Antonio Segura," as the June 13 will leave his post as head of the Department in this area.
The mayor and the president recalled some of the activities that have been implemented over the past four years, always focused to make older enjoy their free time and learn new skills, while encouraged those present to continue programs exerting an active life.
This week completed other courses for seniors, such as those of: Yoga, aquatherapy or Gerontogimnasia, which has involved hundreds of aquiline.
