Javier Hernandez Espinosa, a young artist aquiline just 23, has concluded these days one of his most striking works, a painting of large format on a set of walls in the Port of Eagles.

The author, who is currently completing the degree in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Granada, has projected his final thesis in this original painting initiative.

To do so, they have given him the necessary materials, to fulfill his tasks altruistically.

Espinosa, as he likes to sign his paintings, thanked the trust placed in him both the City of Eagle as the architect Jorge Sotelino, enabling this colorful performance is now a reality.

Before carrying out this work, Javier prepared over forty sketches, of which elected three to attach to the request made to the Directorate General of Ports, prior permission finally was granted.

The artist explained that the work began with the repair of the walls, and impermeabilizándolos encementándolos, since the walls were in very poor condition.

Next, the painters all primed and covered surfaces with colors Javier had previously chosen.

Once these were completed, the creative work of Hernández Espinosa began.

As he related by the author of "being in the port I began to see what was around me and started to paint. Everything I've been working on the fly, improvising forms and colors, always faithful to my style and having as patron what I have I wanted to represent. "

The result was a mural, colorful and different shapes, which tells stories full of symbolism whole.

We can find a monument to fishing and ancient marrajeras as well as mythological creatures like Scylla and Charybdis which are intertwined in one of the larger surfaces.

"It was a big challenge because I had never painted on wall (usually painted on boards or canvases) and least in those proportions. It takes many hours, days and nights, but the effort was worth it. It was a honor this project and share space with the artist Manolo Coronado, whose sculpture is located in the middle of the ride. I have to thank the people of Águilas support I received during this time and especially my friends who have helped me a lot. Also I have to mention the wonderful collaboration of two people, Paco and Nohek, with whom I have developed a joint work on the side facing the sea, where they have made a graffiti on both ends of my work, "concluded Javier Hernández Espinosa .
