On May 24, the citizens of Eagles democratically spoke about future challenges that the new municipal government corresponds to face and certainly the need for a stable government, founded on a solid majority that represents the society as a whole It is a basic condition for ensuring that major projects that the town needs to get ahead.
For this reason, political groups PSOE and IU Eagles have signed an agreement of governance in which cohesive proposals have to be developed over the next four years of corporate mandate.
The Municipal Government shall be chaired by the socialist Mari Carmen Moreno and consists of the 10 Socialist councilors and the mayor of Eagles Win-IU.
The deal follows the decision by the local assemblies of both parties to promote a municipal policy oriented leftist government.
Over the past two weeks it has conducted intensive work and certainly productive.
The negotiation process has been carried out with full transparency of information, grassroots participation and democratic guarantee.
Precisely, that is the first of the fundamental objectives set by IU as budgets this agreement:
1. Government action is guided by the principles of austerity, efficiency and transparency in the management of public resources and promote structural reforms in order to ensure optimal use of them without affecting the level of provision of public services to society.
2. The Municipal Government will give priority to the creation of stable employment through the implementation of an economic policy to support the revitalization and diversification of the productive sectors, betting firm for Industry, Tourism and Agriculture.
3. The Government will promote citizen participation in municipal decision-making.
4. The Government will study the feasibility of the redistricting of privatized municipal services;
Meanwhile, monitor strict compliance with contracts outsourced municipal services (cleaning, gardens, water, etc.).
5. The Government will launch a Social Emergency Plan to ensure the housing roof and basic supplies, implementing concrete measures to minimize poverty and social exclusion.
6. The municipal government will fulfill the Law 52/2007 of Historical Memory, killing all those symbols and street names related to the dictatorship of Franco.
The results of the last elections will materialize, therefore, an opportunity for change that goes to show that, from the political left, you can move towards a city model based on transparency, honesty and closeness manage when, in defending the quality of public services, promoting economic development and job creation.
