Eagles United Left-Greens shows their support for the Saharawi Takbar Haddi, who remains on hunger strike for over a month in protest against the imperialist government of Morocco, who denied handing over the body of his son, Mohamed Lamin Haidala, 21 and Saharan origin, died Feb. 8 in a jail in Laayoune after being attacked by a group of settlers and tortured by the Moroccan police.
In 1975, taking advantage of the weakness of the Franco government, King Hassan II of Morocco organized the Green llamadaMarcha (350,000 organized movement to occupy the Spanish Sahara Morocco) and headed for the Sahrawi borders that were under the Spanish administration.
The Franco regime, weakened by illness of the dictator, chose to retire and cede the territory to Hassan II.
Since then, Morocco applies a tough control over the Saharawi people, repressing all political opposition and repeatedly violating universal rights.
An example of the brutality exercised by the Moroccan authorities is the death of activist Mohamed Lamin Haidala.
From IU-Greens show their support to the families of the deceased and especially his mother, Takbar Haddi, who more than a month ago began a hunger strike.
Also, the formation of the left reiterates its support for the Association of Friends of the Saharawi people of Eagle and its commitment to the independence of the Sahara.
