The Minister of Water, Agriculture and Environment, Adela Martinez-Cache, said that "the works of extension and improvement of the industrial water treatment Eagles will be completed in December 2015".
The Minister visited the facility this week, accompanied by the mayor aquiline, Maria del Carmen Moreno Perez, and the manager of the Regional Entity of Sanitation and Wastewater Treatment (ESAMUR), Jesus Artero.
The main purpose of the work is to expand the treatment capacity of the WWTP Eagles 1,800 cubic meters per day, which will provide a sufficient volume, according to the possible increases in population over the next ten years and the construction of the new municipal station.
The industrial water treatment plant (WWTP) of Eagle, built in 1980, has undergone several expansions and improvements.
At present it has a capacity of 8,000 cubic meters per day and the new expansion will increase capacity by a third.
The Minister of Water, Agriculture and Environment said that "in order to minimize the occupation of land and investment, will be held the adequacy of various elements of the system of the WWTP, which are out of use, to install it a new treatment. "
Performances
The improvement works and expansion of the WWTP Eagles, who are funded by ESAMUR have a total budget of 1,099,118 euros.
The actions include the extension of the pretreatment tank and flow regulation, improvement of electrical installations as well as conventional and automated equipment, redevelopment of the biological treatment, construction of new storage, improvement works of urbanization and improvement of drainage system, among others.
