The pedestrian bridge is being built over the ravine of El Cañarete be finished next September, announced by the mayor of Eagle, Mari Carmen Moreno, who recently conducted a visit to the works accompanied Town Planning, Tomas Cosentino.
The bridge, 35 meters long, is the first built in Spain with duplex steel;
an innovative material that is excellent in durability and design and also offers high resistance to abrasion, erosion and moisture making it ideal for use in places close to the sea, such as the promenade in which it is located.
In addition, combining the interest in reducing environmental impact and to maintain unchanged the drainage characteristics of the Rambla, the gateway has no intermediate supports which also serves to project an image of the same cutting edge.
It is being installed in the same way, a lighting system with efficient and vandal technology, LED type.
It should be noted, finally, that the action, which is being implemented by the state-owned waters of Mediterranean Basin (Acuamed), is included in the Territorial Restitution Project associated with the construction, also by Acuamed, desalination plant Eagles / Guadalentín, in service since 2013.
